The College of Design, Construction and Planning is on the western side of the University campus along 13th Street. The University of Florida is a highly pedestrian-focused campus, so parking is limited. Visitor permits can be obtained from information booths located at all roads entering the core of the campus.

Gainesville, Florida is located directly east of exits 384-387 on Interstate 75 in the center of Alachua County. If approaching from the south, get off I-75 at Exit 384 and take Archer Road east into Gainesville. If coming from the north, exit at Exit 387 and follow Newberry Road (which becomes University Ave.) east toward the University of Florida. Archer Road and University Avenue define the southern and northern boundaries of the University’s campus, respectively.

Florida Nature

Alachua County is in north central Florida and the College can be found at the heart of the county. Sited in Gainesville, the University is a landmark in north Florida and many of the College’s faculty and students contribute to the development of the area.

The University of Florida is located in Alachua County along Interstate 75. Jacksonville and the state of Georgia are within a 90-minute drive, and Tallahassee, Daytona Beach and Orlando are all only about two hours away. In addition to out of state projects, many classes within the College of Design Construction, and Planning focus their studies on the architecture of many cities in Florida; including Jacksonville, St. Augustine, Tampa, Lakeland and Miami.
